THERESA SAWYER - OFFICE MANAGER

Theresa is the glue that keeps ALG together and makes it greater than the sum of its parts. A seasoned project manager and highly effective administrator, Theresa makes everything she touches more efficient, organized, and much improved.

In her free time, she enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time with her beloved husband, children, and grandchild.

HANNAH YOUNG - SENIOR PARALEGAL

Hannah began her career in a boutique civil law firm in Pennsylvania, where she gained experience in a variety of civil practices areas including bankruptcy, creditor debtor rights, family law, civil litigation, DUI/DWI defense, and landlord-tenant law. In 2012, she began working for a firm that specialized in estate planning, tax consulting, business formation, business succession planning, trust administration, and probate law. This position enabled her to hone her skills as an office manager and supervising paralegal.

Hannah began working for Anthony Law Group, PC in 2016 as our office manager. Since then, she has transitioned to become our senior paralegal. She is passionate about providing attentive and proactive support to deliver exceptional results for clients and coworkers, and enjoys working in an environment which enables her to contribute directly to the overall success of the firm.

Acting as our attorney-client liaison, she assists the firm with new client intakes, information and records management, calendar management, drafting correspondence, and drafting, filing and serving legal documents. She specializes in entity formation and governance, litigation support and nonprofit compliance. She is the secretary of Oakland Citizens for Equity and Prosperity (“OCEP”), Oakland’s largest cannabis trade organization. 

Hannah is passionate about the arts and social equity, and is a proud supporter of the Drug Policy Alliance, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Hip Hop for Change, The East Oakland Collective, The Village in Oakland, Planting Justice, and other local organizations who uplift and advocate for the local community. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry, swimming, dancing, and building community.

JAMILA COLBERT - PARALEGAL

Jamila was born and raised in San Francisco, where she graduated from law school in 2015. After graduating, Jamila went to work for one of the top women owed commercial real estate firms in San Francisco. In 2018, she began working in her mothers’ probate firm where she settled disputes between heirs and helped ensure decedent’s assets were distributed to rightful beneficiaries. Dealing with estate sales in probate, Jamila was inspired to obtain her real estate license. In 2020, Jamila became a licensed California Realtor® and Probate Specialist. Being a Realtor® prepared her to be completely client-oriented, providing her with the tools to really listen to clients and focus all of her attention on their wants and needs.

Jamila began working with Anthony Law Group, PC as a litigation paralegal in 2021. She commits herself to being a team player which she believes is critical for the overall success of the firm. By consistently furthering her legal knowledge and education, Jamila is continuously able to exceed expectations in the ever-changing world of business and commercial law. For Jamila, business law is about helping people achieve their goals and protect their dreams. Jamila provides assistance with legal document drafting, filing, legal research, and general litigation support.

Being a mother of two, Jamila is very family oriented and appreciates the work-life balance ALG provides. Jamila is also an advocate for affordable housing. She assists in finding resources and programs to help low-income families. In her spare time, she enjoys attending her son’s basketball games, watching her daughter perform, traveling, checking out the newest local restaurants, and watching Selling Sunset on Netflix.
